‘The House of MG’ is a boutique heritage hotel in Ahmedabad.

‘Agashiye’, its terrace eatery, is an award winning Gujarati

The following are the terms and conditions of the Agreement between the Guest/s
and The House of MG (Herein after called "Management") under which rooms are
permitted to be used by the Guest/s and are binding on the Guest/s:
Guests should obtain the 'Room Rate' slip from the Reception. The tariff is
for the room only. Meals and other services are available at extra cost.
All rooms are non-smoking. Smoking is allowed only in verandahs & other open
Gujarat is an alcohol prohibition state. Guests can consume alcohol within their
rooms provided they have a valid permit. Alcohol can be procured from authorized
liquor shops in the neighborhood.
No outside visitors are allowed in the rooms after 10 PM. Guests wishing to
entertain their visitors after this time will have to inform front desk and
additional room tariff will be charged to them.
Settlement of Bills
Bills must be settled on presentation. Cheques are not accepted. All Foreign
Nationals are required to settle their bills in Foreign Currency only, in
keeping with the Government Regulations. We accept all major credit cards &
Company's Lien on Guest's Luggage and Belongings
In the case of default in payment of dues by a Guest, the Management shall have
a lien on the luggage and belongings and be entitled to detain the same, and to
sell or auction such property at any time without reference to the Guest, and
appropriate the net sale proceeds towards the amount due by the Guest without
prejudice to the Management's rights to adopt such further recovery proceedings
as may be required.
CHECK-IN time 2 PM & CHECK-OUT time is 12 Noon. The Guest shall vacate the room
allotted to him on expiry of the period of occupation granted. On failure of the
Guest to vacate the room on expiry of the period, the Management shall have the
right to remove the Guest and his/her belongings from the room occupied by the
Guest. If the Guest wishes to stay on up to 6 p.m. and if the room is available,
he will be charged at half the normal daily rate for the room. Half-day tariff
will not be accepted on the first day's stay.
Subject to availability of storage space, the Guest can store luggage in the
Luggage Room at a nominal charge at the Guest's sole risk as to loss or damage
from any cause.
Guests are particularly requested to lock the door of their rooms when they are
going out or when going to bed, and not to leave the room key in the lock.
Electronic safes are provided in each room. The Management will not, in anyway
whatsoever, be responsible for any loss/damage to the Guest's belongings or any
other property from either the hotel room or locker or any other part of the
hotel for any cause whatsoever including theft or pilferage.
Bringing into and/or storing of raw or exposed cinema films, or any other
articles have a combustible or hazardous nature and /or prohibited goods and /or
goods of objectionable nature, in the hotel, are prohibited. The Guest shall be
solely liable and responsible to the Management, its other guests, invitees,
visitors, agents and servants for any loss, financial or other, and damage that
may be caused by such articles or negligence and non-observance of any /all
Use of Hotel Facilities
The Guest shall use all the facilities and services available at the hotel with
care and caution and entirely at the Guest's risk. The Guest shall agree to
abide by and follow all instructions placed by the Management at various places
in the hotel premises. The Management shall not be responsible for any injury to
the Guest or damage to Guest's goods that may be caused as a result of use of
the facilities / services for any reason whatsoever.
Damage to Property
The Guest will be held responsible for any loss or damage to the Hotel Property
caused by themselves, their friends or any person for whom they are responsible.
Dogs may be allowed at the discretion of management. The owner will be fully
responsible for the behavior of his pet and for any damage caused by the dog to
the hotel. Dogs are not permitted in the public areas of the hotel.
It is agreed that the Guest will conduct him / her in a respectable manner and
not cause nuisance or annoyance within the hotel premises. The management
reserves to itself the absolute right of admission to any person in the hotel
premises. The management has the right to request any Guest to vacate his / her
room or other areas of the hotel forthwith, without previous notice and without
assigning any reason whatsoever and the Guest shall be bound to vacate when
requested to do so. In default, the management shall have the right to change
room allotted to the Guest at any time, without assigning any reason thereof and
without any previous notice, or to shift the Guest to any other suitable
Relation Between Management and Guest
Nothing herein above shall constitute or be deemed to constitute or create, any
tenancy or sub-tenancy, or any other right or interest in the hotel premises or
any part or portion thereof, in favour of any guest or resident or visitor, and
the management shall always be deemed to be in full and absolute possession and
control of the whole of the hotel premises.
The House of MG provides facilities like telephone, cordless A/c remote,
cordless Television control, refrigerator, television, electric kettle in
addition to decorative items in the room like framed photographs, stainless
steel dispensers etc. Guest will be fully liable to any damage or loss of the
Guests will be charged for items consumed from the minibar as per the pricelist
